Antwerp/BE

I was born in 1975 in Germany and now live and work in Antwerp, Belgium. I originally trained as an architect at the Bauhaus University in Weimar/DE and at FAUTL in Lisbon/PT. Later, I studied painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts DKO in Antwerp/BE. Before turning fully to painting, I worked for many years in architecture and as a photographer, documenting the work of architects, artists, galleries, and museums.

Today, I focus primarily on painting, developing a conceptually grounded practice rooted in observation and memory. In addition to my artistic work, I also teach photography at various universities and cultural institutions across Belgium.
